Disney Plus Arrives In India, Plans Start At ₹399 Per Year

Mumbai: Users that are subscribers of revamped streaming service, called Disney+ Hotstar subscribers. Subscribers can access the Disney Original movies in English and they are available in several local languages. In addition to Disney movies, users will get live support events, lots of TV channels and many more.

Disney has launched a streaming service that is Disney Plus (Disney+) in India through Hotstar. Hotstar is a famous on-demand video platform and it starts at Rs.399 per year.

Revamped streaming service subscribers are now Disney+ Hotstar subscribers and they get access to Disney Original contents in different languages mainly in English and other local languages.

Subscribers can explore the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. they can enjoy watching the best of superheroes movies like The Avengers, Thor Ragnarok , Iron Man, or latest movies including The Lion King, Frozen II, Aladdin and Toy Story 4. Families can watch movies and other channels with family in order to spend quality time together with characters like Gajju Bhai, Mickey Mouse, Doraemon and Shin-chan.

Initially, Disney+ Hotstar offers three different offerings- Disney+ Hotstar basic tier, Disney+ Hotstar Premium and Disney+ Hotstar VIP.

The subscribers of Disney+ Hotstar Premium will receive all the benefits of 29 Disney+ Originals, including The Mandalorian from Jon Favreau; High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, live-action version of Lady and the Tramp as well as the latest American shows from studios like HBO, Fox, Showtime, Disney+ Hotstar VIP. Premium subscription will come at the price of ₹1,499 for a year.

In addition, Disney+ Hotstar VIP users can enjoy the content in different languages such as Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. All existing subscribers will be automatically upgraded to their respective new subscription plan and will be charged the new rates upon renewal.
